The Kummer family’s business roots date back to 1922 as they opened a stone quarry and apple orchard in New Britain, Connecticut. For decades they delivered the stone on horse drawn wagons and supplied many of the local neighborhood markets with fruits and vegetables.
Kyle began his financial services & insurance practice in 2008 with Northwestern Mutual in West Hartford, Connecticut. While there, he earned the prestigious Pacesetter 40 award and started his management career as the firm’s College Unit Director. He then furthered his management experience in 2011 as Managing Associate for MassMutual and helped run their Farmington, Connecticut office. In 2014, Kyle went out on his own and decided to focus on what he likes doing the most – creating and cultivating relationships with individuals, families, and businesses. Kyle believes that every individual and business has diverse needs, and he loves generating custom tailored plans to help people achieve their goals.
At Rutgers University, Kyle graduated with Dean's List honors, and he was a member of the Scarlet Knight football team which appeared in three bowl games, winning the Texas Bowl (2006) and the International Bowl (2008). He went through the New Britain (CT) Public School system and did a post graduate year at Loomis Chaffee in Windsor, CT. Kyle is a former member of New Britain’s Madrigal Choir, and he is very fond of the time the group performed and sang in Polish at Teatr Wielki, the Polish National Opera in Warsaw which was broadcasted on live television throughout the nation.
Kyle resides in Plainville, Connecticut with his wife Barbara, their children – Aiden, Annabelle, Avery, and their sheepadoodle, Gucci. He is on the board of directors for the Greater New Britain Chamber of Commerce, a Corporator for CW Resources and CCARC, and volunteers his time for many charitable organizations and causes, most notably Baby Basics of Collier County (Fl).
